DEC’s CAD Experts Can Custom Fabricate your Product Molds
In our thirty years of business, we have created thousands of molds to produce products for our customers. During that time we have been asked to create shapes and forms in an endless variety of textures. From heavily aged stone turrets to Corinthian capitals with very fine detail, we have developed skills to reproduce an architect’s exact drawing into three dimensional reality. Each project requires us to make the item once so that we can make a mold to produce multiples. This first item is called a “master” or plug.
We utilize our in-house craftsmen and artists to create “masters” from wood, foam, clay or rubber to make the original part for many of these molds. We also use three dimensional CAD machines to exactingly create other “masters”. We even take old remnants of items and repair them to their original condition to become another type of “master”, thus allowing us to accurately create reproductions of historical restorations.
Since we have had so many years of experience developing molds for projects, we can advise clients on how best to approach each item on their project. Whether it is a classical style cornice or a very modern design, we have the experience to develop a process that is cost effective and able to meet a client’s budget. We encourage you to share what your objectives are and let us develop an obligation-free estimate. Given the abilities of cast product to solve difficult architectural conditions, we can show you why architectural composites are one of the fastest growing application for the construction industry.
Please let us review your project and supply a quotation with a detailed breakdown. We will give you a material takeoff, line item pricing and if you send us the drawings on PDF or TIF, we will give you a color rendering of the scope. We will offer cost saving options of using existing molds, make attachment recommendations and give you a number of material and finish options. We offer such a full range of architectural composites; we know we can find the best material for each application on your project. We will then use our thirty years of experience to provide a solution to your architectural vision.
