While GFRCnext Woodgrain composites provided many advantages over many traditional construction materials, they often are unrecognized from the materials they are replacing. These woodgrain products are versatile and easy to install since they are thin wall shells. Since these beams and columns are actually fabricated out of our reinforced GFRCnext material, they are very impact resistant and carry a very high tensile strength allowing them to replace similar wood products at a fraction of the weight. It is a non-combustible product with a Class 1 fire rating. Unlike wood or heavy timber, woodgrain composite FRP will not crack, check or split over time. Typical applications are rafter tails, beams and columns all with the woodgrain texture cast integrally into the part. Finishing is relatively easy with the look of wood either stained or painted. All of this translates into significant labor and maintenance savings over the life of the project. The results are visually effective and functionally superior to natural wood.
