More Details About Project This five star hotel and spa is located on the beach in Santa Monica. The owners of the hotel wanted to offer a hotel with an elegant interior in the European tradition of elegance. The interior design was based upon classical ornamentation of high end millwork with columns, pilasters and detailed light coves. By selecting GRG, the architect was able to utilize fluted columns with acanthus leaf capitals and elegant light coves at a cost that would have not been possible with wood or carved plaster. Since this was also a hotel, the GRG was able to provide a non-combustible rating required for public areas with the fire code. The flexibility in design coupled with the extreme detail we were able to achieve with our cast product allowed us to achieve the architect's vision for this world class hotel.
